How creators get paid

  • Anyone 18 or older with a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account can join (the Terms of use require creators to be 18+).
  • You are paid for each approved video based on the views it gets in its first 72 hours.
  • Cash out via PayPal from a $5 balance; payouts are processed within 3–5 working days after the campaign. Tap "Get Paid" in the app.
  • Payouts use PayPal Goods and Services, which charges a small PayPal fee per transaction. Make sure your PayPal account is in good standing and can receive payments.
  • Keep each video up for at least 45 days from posting.
  • In the 90 days to September 16, 2026, the average approved video paid creators $4.89 (full payout data, payouts by country).

How advertisers are protected

  • Every video is watched. Our team watches every video and makes sure creators follow your directions. If they don't, they don't get paid, and that part of your budget goes back into your campaign for other creators.
  • Real accounts. Every creator is a real TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account posting on their own profile.
  • Posts stay up. Creators keep posts up for at least 45 days; if one comes down earlier, contact us for a replacement.
  • Refund if your sound isn't approved. You get a full refund within seven business days.
  • Honest numbers. Sound.me doesn't guarantee views, streams or sales. Projections are averages of real past campaigns and the dashboard shows every post.

Ratings and press

The Sound.me app holds a 4.5-star App Store rating from about 1,400 ratings (see it on the App Store).

Sound.me has appeared in Billboard, Forbes México and Esquire Middle East, as well as EARMILK, The Hype Magazine, Hood Critic Magazine and Magnetic Magazine (some as sponsored or partnered articles) (press page with headlines and dates).

Why videos get declined

Our team reviews every video against the advertiser's directions and Sound.me's guidelines. A declined video isn't paid, and you get an email with the specific reason. The common reasons:

  • A voice-over, or the sound not fully audible at 100% volume.
  • Shorter than 10 seconds (unless the sound itself is shorter).
  • The advertiser's directions weren't followed.
  • Political statements, mentions of payment or negative comments about the sound.
  • Showing products when the brief doesn't ask for it.
  • Dangerous or illegal actions.
  • Reused old content instead of an original video.

Why accounts get banned

  • Buying or altering accounts.
  • Reusing copyrighted content.
  • Manipulating the system for higher earnings.
  • Impersonation or misrepresentation.
