The rule
Each approved video earns a per-view rate tied to your country and audience, applied to the views the video gets in its first 72 hours after posting. Earnings calculation for that video stops after 72 hours. A video with zero measured views earns nothing.
Every approved video with measured views pays at least a floor that depends on your country: $1.00 in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany, $0.75 in Latin America, $0.50 in the rest of Europe and $0.25 in Asia and Africa. Most videos pay well above it.
What moves the number: total views, your follower count and how it changes, likes, comments and shares, how often you post, and how original and creative the video is. If the advertiser especially likes your video, you might get a bonus.

Pay per view follows what advertisers pay for that audience, so the same video earns different amounts depending on where the creator is.
What a working creator makes
Among creators with 5,000–20,000 followers who were paid in the 90 days to September 16, 2026, the average made $17.88 from 5.4 videos; the top earner in that band made $1,173. Across all sizes in the same period, 35 creators cleared $500 and 130 more made between $100 and $500, almost all by posting steadily.
Who can join
- Anyone 18 or older with a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account can join (the Terms of use require creators to be 18+).
- Campaigns target creators from 100 followers up, and small accounts do get paid: three quarters of the videos paid in the 90 days to September 16, 2026 came from creators under 10,000 followers.
- Sound.me has 3M+ registered creators in 61 countries; campaigns target worldwide, one of 24 countries, or a region. Pay per view depends on your country: payouts by country.
Cashing out
- Cash out via PayPal from a $5 balance: tap "Get Paid" in the app.
- Payouts are processed within 3–5 working days after the campaign.
- Sound.me pays through PayPal Goods and Services, which charges a small PayPal fee per transaction. Make sure your PayPal account is in good standing and can receive payments.
Declines and the 45-day rule
Our team watches every video. Videos that don't follow the advertiser's directions or Sound.me's guidelines are declined and don't get paid; you get an email with the reason (common reasons).
Keep every campaign video up for at least 45 days from posting. Deleting videos, even after 45 days, can affect your profile quality for advertisers and your future campaigns.
