Choosing the Right Campaign Setup on Sound.me: A Guide for Artists and Brands
Setting up a Sound.me campaign? This guide explains each choice (platform, budget, run time, creator size, targeting and directions) and what it changes.

A few choices at checkout decide which creators your campaign reaches, how many videos you get and how fast they arrive. Here is each one and what it changes.
1. Platform
Pick where the videos are made: TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. Each campaign runs on one platform, so run one campaign per platform if you want all three.
2. Budget
Choose $250, $1,000, $1,500 or your own amount, with $100 for a first campaign during the flash sale in the 48 hours after sign-up. You pay by card at secure checkout, and the campaign goes live right after.
Projected results for a worldwide, 7-day campaign (measured on TikTok campaigns: the average of real completed Sound.me campaigns created since January 1, 2026):
| Budget | Projected views | Projected creator videos |
|---|---|---|
| $250 | ~211,000 | ~38 |
| $500 | ~332,000 | ~75 |
| $1,000 | ~524,000 | ~151 |
| $1,500 | ~685,000 | ~226 |
These are projections, not guarantees: Sound.me works with real creators, so it never guarantees a number of views.
3. Run time
Run the campaign for 72 hours, 7 days or 14 days. First creator posts usually land the same day: on 7-day campaigns, 28% of videos are live within 6 hours, 45% within 24 hours and 73% within 72 hours.
4. Creator size
Set the follower range, from 100 followers to 50M+. This is where the old “volume or engagement” choice lives now: smaller creators give you more videos for the budget, larger creators give you fewer videos with bigger audiences each.
5. Who and where
Target by age, gender, language and location (worldwide, a country or a region). Add up to 3 example creators whose style you like and Sound.me finds similar creators.
6. Directions
Tell creators what to make: creative freedom, lip sync, dance, transition, text on screen or your own brief. Keep it short and specific about the part of the song you want used.
7. Approvals and quality control
Sound.me’s team matches and approves creators; on TikTok campaigns of $1,000 or more you can also approve creators yourself. The team watches every video: creators who don’t follow your directions don’t get paid, and that budget goes back to the campaign. Creators are paid for each approved video based on the views it gets in its first 72 hours.
Ready to launch? Pick your platform, budget and run time, set your targeting and directions, and pay at secure checkout.
