In brief
Sound.me is a two-sided creator marketplace: artists, record labels and brands pay creators to make short videos with their sound or product on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and creators use the Sound.me app to apply to daily paid campaigns and cash out via PayPal. It has 3M+ registered creators in 61 countries, who have made 90M+ videos with 181B+ organic views for 20K+ advertisers.
What does each run time do?
The run time is how long a campaign stays open for creators to apply and post. Sound.me offers three:
| Run time | How it behaves | Pick it when |
|---|---|---|
| 72 hours | Fastest; about 40% fewer views and creators than 7 days | A release day, a moment, a test you want read quickly |
| 7 days | Standard; the most common run | Most releases and brand pushes |
| 14 days | More time for creators to join; views similar to 7 days | One country, a small region or a narrow creator range |
All the projections Sound.me publishes are for 7-day campaigns, because that is the standard. A worldwide, 7-day $1,000 campaign is projected at about 524,000 views from about 151 creator videos, measured on TikTok campaigns (worldwide, 7 days; average of real completed Sound.me campaigns created since January 1, 2026).
How fast do videos go live?
Campaigns go live right after checkout, and creators start posting within hours. On 7-day campaigns, measured on TikTok campaigns:
| Time after launch | Share of the campaign's videos live |
|---|---|
| 6 hours | 28% |
| 24 hours | 45% |
| 72 hours | 73% |
| Day 7 | 97% |
Shorter and longer runs follow the same curve, squeezed or stretched.
What do real campaigns show?
Completed Sound.me TikTok campaigns from the case studies, by run time:
| Campaign | Run time | Creator videos | Views | First video |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $250, worldwide | 72 hours | 161 | 178K | under 10 minutes |
| $1,500, US, UK, Canada and Brazil | 72 hours | 63 | 1.34M | under 1 hour |
| $500, United States only | 7 days | 24 | 584K | about 18 hours |
| $1,000, worldwide, ages up to 44 | 7 days | 237 | 742K | about 17 hours |
| $1,000, Europe, US and Canada | 14 days | 78 | 507K | about 31 hours |
Two lessons stand out. Short runs can still deliver: the 72-hour $1,500 campaign reached 1.34M views, most of them from one video that took off. And narrower targeting starts slower, which is why a 14-day run suits a smaller market. These are strong results picked to show what is possible; the projection is the average to plan with.
When should you pick 72 hours?
- Release day or a live moment. You want videos up while people are searching for the song.
- A quick read. You want to know within three days whether a concept works before a bigger campaign.
- Broad targeting. Worldwide or several large countries, where many creators can apply at once.
The trade-off is volume: about 40% fewer views and creators than the same budget over 7 days.
When should you pick 7 days?
For most campaigns. Seven days gives creators in every time zone a full week to find the campaign, apply and post, and it is the run all of Sound.me's published projections use. If you are unsure, start here and compare with a 72-hour or 14-day run next time. A campaign for a new single walks through a full 7-day plan.
When should you pick 14 days?
- One smaller country or a region. Fewer creators match, so give them more time. Promoting a song by country shows which markets you can target.
- A narrow creator range. Only large creators, one age group or one language.
- A detailed brief. A dance or a detailed custom brief can take creators longer to post than creative freedom.
Views on 14-day campaigns are similar to 7 days, so pick it for reach into a narrow audience, not for extra views.
Does the run time change what creators are paid or how long posts stay up?
No. Creators are paid for each approved video based on the views it gets in its first 72 hours, whatever the campaign's run time, and they keep their posts up for at least 45 days from posting. If a post comes down earlier, contact Sound.me for a replacement. The campaign keeps collecting views after it closes, and the live dashboard shows every post with views, likes, comments, shares and a country breakdown, updated every hour.
How do you set the run time?
At checkout: pick the platform (TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts), paste a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube link to your sound, set a budget ($250, $1,000, $1,500 or your own amount; $100 for a first campaign during the flash sale in the 48 hours after sign-up) and choose 72 hours, 7 days or 14 days. Then set targeting and directions and pay by card at secure checkout. Sound.me doesn't guarantee views, streams or sales; the campaign builder on the homepage shows the estimate for your budget, markets and run time before you pay. Sound.me pricing has the full table.
