In brief

Sound.me is a two-sided creator marketplace: artists, record labels and brands pay creators to make short videos with their sound or product on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and creators use the Sound.me app to apply to daily paid campaigns and cash out via PayPal. It has 3M+ registered creators in 61 countries, who have made 90M+ videos with 181B+ organic views for 20K+ advertisers.

Sound.me publishes this page and is one of the options in it. Competitor details come only from each company's own website, checked September 2026, and are linked next to each fact; prices and terms change, so check their site before you buy.

What is TikTok One?

TikTok describes TikTok One as the place where creators find brand opportunities from advertisers, run the projects and get paid through TikTok (TikTok One for creators). Creators must be 18+, in a country or region where TikTok One has launched, and follow TikTok's Community Guidelines and Branded Content Policy. Pay is flat fees or revenue share, depending on the project. It runs on TikTok only.

Why do music teams look for an alternative?

  • One platform. TikTok One covers TikTok. Many releases also want Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • No published price. TikTok's creator page doesn't publish what an advertiser pays, so it is hard to plan a small test budget.
  • Deals, not a budget. Working project by project suits a few hand-picked creators. When a song needs many videos behind its sound, a budget-based campaign where creators opt in is simpler. TikTok sound seeding explains why many videos matter.

How do they handle video approval?

This is where the options differ most:

  • Sound.me: Sound.me's team matches and approves creators; on TikTok campaigns of $1,000 or more you can also approve creators yourself. The team watches every video; videos that don't follow your directions aren't paid.
  • Playlist Push: videos are posted first; you have 72 hours to reject one (1–2 stars, for not following your concept or your sound being hard to hear), then it is approved automatically.
  • SoundCampaign: creators post on TikTok, then submit the link; you rate each video (1–5 stars) within 72 hours or it is approved automatically.
  • SongPush: no approval before posting; you can reject a video up to 5 days after it is submitted or posted.
  • Collabstr: you approve the work; payment is held in escrow until then.

Which one fits?

Choose TikTok One if you want to work inside TikTok's own system, with creators paid through TikTok, and TikTok is the only platform you need.

Choose a booking marketplace such as Collabstr if you want to pick each creator from their profile and pay the price they list.

Choose Playlist Push or SoundCampaign if you also want Spotify playlist pitching or curator reviews from the same company.

Choose Sound.me if:

  • You want Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts as well as TikTok (one platform per campaign).
  • You want a known price up front: $250, $1,000, $1,500 or your own amount, with projected views for each. A worldwide, 7-day $1,000 campaign is projected at about 524,000 views from about 151 creator videos, measured on TikTok campaigns (worldwide, 7 days; average of real completed Sound.me campaigns created since January 1, 2026).
  • You want to target creators by age, gender, language, creator size (from 100 followers to over 50 million) and location (worldwide, one of 24 countries, or a region), and give directions.
  • You want a team to watch every video, with creators who don't follow directions not paid.

How does a Sound.me campaign work?

Paste a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube link to your sound, pick a budget and a run time of 72 hours, 7 days or 14 days, set targeting, add up to 3 example creators and choose directions: creative freedom, lip sync, dance, transition, text on screen or your own brief. Pay by card at secure checkout; the campaign goes live right after and the first creator posts usually land the same day. A live dashboard shows every post, updated every hour, and creators keep posts up for at least 45 days. Sound.me doesn't guarantee views, streams or sales, doesn't pitch playlists and doesn't license music. How Sound.me works has every step, and all comparisons are on one page.
